{"id":275,"date":"2023-01-29T09:18:49","date_gmt":"2023-01-29T08:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/codesupply.co\/justo-eleifend-venenatis-rhoncus-natoque-pretium-etiam-odio\/"},"modified":"2023-10-04T11:34:52","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T09:34:52","slug":"what-do-you-know-about-compostable-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wrappingmachines.eu\/index.php\/2023\/01\/29\/what-do-you-know-about-compostable-film\/","title":{"rendered":"What do you know about compostable film?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To pack products there are many types of film that can be used made with plastic or paper and when we\u2019re looking for a machine, we have to consider the type of film that we would like to use and also the recycling regulations of each country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"what-does-it-mean-compostable\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does it mean compostable?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the term biodegradable we mean a decomposition process of an organic material that can happen in particular conditions, in which it\u2019s possible to get CO2, water,nmineral salt and oxygen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we find plastic with the prefix \u201cOXO\u201d, like \u201coxo-degradable\u201d or \u201coxo-biodegradable\u201d are particular types of plastic made with normal plastic and additives. This mix can \u201cimitate\u201d the biodegradability process and the fragments of these materials remain in our environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are also criteria that must be respected:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The material has to be composed of chemical elements that can be compostable and it has to be biodegradable within 6 months or it has to disintegrate within 3 months. Moreover, it has to be safe for plants, guaranteeing that any chemical substances won\u2019t be spread out in the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s focus on two types of plastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"bioplastic\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">BIOPLASTIC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bioplastic is a particular material, obtained from vegetable sources or it can be biodegradable. There are also bioplastics that come from oil and are easily biodegradable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The material is flexible, transparent and reduces the carbon footprint of a product.
